Wedsly never collects information tied to individuals or couples, or shares information with third parties. Using Wedsly, you have the option to be completely anonymous throughout the entire wedding planning. All we know is that somebody lives “here” and somebody is getting married “there” and on “that date” etc. During contacts with our extensive industry directory—Wedsly’s Friends—you are incognito until you accept a quote from a vendor. And by then you’ll probably want them to know who you are, so that wedding cake ends up at the right place…
Wedsly follows the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation, 2018) intended to protect individual integrity in the EU. We are in the process of formulating legal language that can be applied to your country/region. Till then, here are the nuts and bolts:
You need to be 18 years of age and provide us with a physical address so we can verify that you are real. We need an email address and an account name, a date, location and budget for the wedding and voila—you and Wedsly have a thing. (This can be adjusted in settings when, and as often as, you like.)
Transparency is also important to Wedsly and that’s why you can request a summary of what data we have collected about you and how it is used. At any time. If you choose to terminate your account (easily done in settings), all information collected about you up until that point will be deleted.
